DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES? A surprising journey of self discovery

So you want to be an entrepreneur of some sort. Fantastic, me too!! Glad we met!! On your journey of evolving from working class to entrepreneur you will have to ask yourself some SERIOUS questions and quite possibly find some unexpected and ugly answers!! For example, why is this time any different from ALL the other times I have been presented with opportunities and didn't act on them?? So be forewarned, this is not a journey for whimps!! This is a quest many attempt but only a very few have what it takes to see it through into the elusive winner's circle. I believe the stats are something ridiculous like only 2% of the population are self sustaining business owners. So you have your work cut out for you. You are facing some intimidating odds.
OF COURSE you have what it takes to succeed!! You have every gift and talent that your higher power gave you from day one!! BUT, and there is always a BUT.........YOU are the only one that can ACT and MUST ACT on your desire to leave that dead end job behind and truly morph into that successful inventor, chef, composer, photographer, artist, what ever creative burning desire you have squashed deep inside so you could stand to be an active member of the "Daily Grind". You may say to yourself "There are a million struggling authors out there. I have a mortgage, kids in braces, responsibilities. I would just be one in a million". This is true, but........they don't have your EYE for the picture, they don't have your VISION of that whatcha call it, they don't have your EAR for the melody!! THAT right there is what will separate you from the rest!!! You are unique to sound corny---and so are your gifts!!!
No one can give you the complete success kit of YOU for you. How could they? YOU are the only person who knows what that is. I hate to tell ya, you can't simply copy and paste anyone else's "kit" either---that is their "kit". That would make you an impostor. The public won't stand for that. They are sick to death of impostors. No my friend---you must be authentic in your endeavors if you want to succeed. And succeed you will, for the masses are starving for authenticity. People will buy what ever you have to sell or follow you where ever you lead if only you are authentic!! I know I would!! You may follow their suggestions---but you have to mold what you learn to fit YOU. You are gonna have to role up your sleeves and do some REAL work. It is through that molding process you will reconnect with your SELF in such a profound way; amazingly you will find what ever it is you feel you are currently lacking.
Do you have the courage to leave your current comfort level to claim your desired "Golden Egg"? Do you have enough faith in your project not to listen to all those "ney sayers" you will undoubtedly come across? Do you have the blind tenacity not to stop when things look impossible? Do you have the gonads to turn the key to unlock those self imposed barriers that has kept you down thus far???? Do you have the fortitude to get up for once and for all leave the familiarity of the masses of what I like call sheeple and claim your rightful place among the exalted few? For whatever it is worth to you, I say you DO have what it takes!! I am rooting for you. I can't wait to see what you have been working on!! I am angry, scared and O so frustrated----at MYSELF!! I have been in a self made denial for several weeks now. I quit my job that ended up only paying min wage---no big deal right? I told myself---"I can certainly make that on my OWN! I am smart, creative, enjoy talking to people and I have a work ethic bar none! So there is NO way I can fail". I have spent the past few weeks trying desperately to evolve from a worker bee to a queen bee----in other words---"faking it till i make it". I have read reports, visited countless websites, gone to several business meetings----in other words---I confused myself. Strangely enough I found while in that state of confusion and misguidance---i ALLOWED alot of my old demons to pop their ugly heads up and start spewing their negative bile at me!! I, all the sudden couldn't walk up to someone and talk with them. I, of ALL people was at a loss of words!! I have been in the restaurant/bar business for 30 yrs and a telemarketer for 10----I have talked with countless people over the years---of ALL walks of life!! I am now silent???
I understand it---just don't know how to FIX it!!! I had never spoken to anyone about business on my OWN behalf before!! When I NEEDED my voice the MOST---I was silent. When you can't trust yourself---WHERE do you go? I know the obvious answer to that question---your higher power. BUT if you don't trust yourself enough that what you hear your higher power telling you----THEN where do u go??? THAT is my question!! I have people counting on me. I can't let them down.
